Folding box finishing

Glossy and matt film laminating

Prospektus Press has been using a variety of surface finishing processes for over 15 years. The company has the most experience in glossy, matt, scratch-resistant matt and Soft Touch film laminating. The applied film has normally 20–25 micron thickness. The film is pressed into the surface of the medium (typically paper) at high pressure. The end result is a nice touch, high-gloss surface (using glossy foil) which is resistant to mechanical damage.

By using matt films, a velvety finish can be obtained that is resistant to finger prints, so it is recommended for higher standard publications.

Metallized film laminating

The high level of innovation enables Prospektus Press to serve its customers based on technologies, that can fulfil even the most unique requirements. This kind of technology is UV printing, that was first time introduced in Hungary by Prospektus Press. This technology is represented by our Heidelberg CD-74 printing machine, where UV light illuminates the printed substrate, causing a chain reaction in the ink by which the ink gets instantaneously polymerised. As a result, this machine is suitable for printing on any plastic based and metallized substrate.

The metallized substrate is a metallized film laminated to a paper-based medium. By printing on this, a really unique, metallic effect of the graphics can be achieved. The final surface is waterproof.

Combining opaque white and colour printing of metallized surfaces with effect varnishing provides an endless variation of the surfaces’ appearance. This can be further enhanced by hot foil stamping and embossing options.

Pre and post foil stamping

Prospektus Press uses the latest technology also in the foil stamping and lamination technology, which is represented by a KAMA ProCut 76 machine. This equipment enables high-quality foil stamping of the surfaces, thanks to its hotfoil technology. Surface finishing can be applied as a final surface finishing process, but it is also possible to pre-stamp certain areas of the substrate before printing, attaining really unique effects by this. At pre-stamping a silver foil is depressed into the blank sheet of paper, cardboard or plastic, and then UV offset ink is printed over it. This results in a unique, special surface. The effect can be enhanced by effect varnishing and embossing. Consult with our colleagues in order to exploit the potential of the technology.

Embossing

Prospektus Press is committed to satisfy the needs of its partners without subcontracting. Along this commitment, it procured a KAMA ProCut 76 type equipment in 2011 that meets all the challenges of today.

This equipment, using a specialized tool, is capable of embossing paper and paperboard substrate. The embossing height is approx. 1-2 mm. As an additional method, embossing can be applied to an already foiled or hot foil stamped surface, enhancing its uniqueness even further.

Die-cutting

Prospektus Press is committed to satisfy the needs of its partners without subcontracting. Along this commitment, it procured a KAMA ProCut 76 type equipment in 2011 that meets all the challenges of today.

This equipment, using a specialized tool, is capable of die-cutting paper, paperboard or even plastic based substrate. This process allows us to cut special forms and shapes, as well. Requiring a dossier or carton box, you can choose among a number of our solutions to find the most appropriate one for your needs.

Folding box gluing

With our box gluing equipment, purchased in 2012, we are able to glue 1-2-3 point boxes with high efficiency. We apply strict quality control procedures during the folding and gluing the boxes. We also have automatic quality inspection systems.
